Hello there, buddies! :coolbeans:

LET´S SHARE SOME MUSIC!!!

What kind of musical bands do you enjoy most?
(I know... a previous topic was posted a short time ago with a similar issue... but it has now too much answers, and it is almost impossible to watch all the awesome songs featured there... XD )

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bGQxswmYb8

BAND: All the Cold.
TRACK: "Kingdom Of Snow". A beautiful & sad keyboard melody (instrumental).
--------------------------------

I feel me really depressed right now... so it is a perfect time for chat about this issue! :sunglasses:

We know that Dr. Gilmartin theorized that the vast majority of us, love-shy guys enjoy sweet, soft, low-tempo and love-related music (love ballads, jazz, soft classical, and so on)... but I have noticed that a great number of guys here enjoy very different kinds of music (I have even seen electrofans & metalheads here! :coolbeans: ).

So... what songs / bands do you enjoy most?
Are your musical tastes related to your love-shyness / sad mood ???

In my case... yes. I love sad songs & melodies.... they fit my depressed mood very well... XD
:waa: :waa: :waa:

Currently I am listening to a lot of dark ambient, neo-classical, neo-folk and funeral/death/black doom metal.

As far as my musical tastes go I enjoy everything dark, melancholic, sombre and sad. I often find happy and positive mainstream music to be mostly worthless and fabricated.

I dislike mainstream music played on various radio stations and on music channels. What I find exciting is hidden deeply in underground.

Yeah, Hail Sathanas. Always loved Bathory - the originators of the first wave of black metal plus the originators of viking metal (later stuff in early 90's).

Oh yeah. Forgot to mention Bathory's viking metal albums. Also, Quorthon released a few albums under the name "Quorthon", which were good rock albums but not metal.

As far as old school black metal, I also recommend Endless Pain by Kreator, Sentence of Death by Destruction and I.N.R.I. by Sarcafago. Good call on Tormentor, by the way.

Yes. The video below is from the same guy who gave us Blood Fire Death. RIP Quorthon!

I know all the albums you mentioned. I've been listening to metal music since 1994 or 1995. Quorthon was one hell of a talented guy. I miss his work. Brilliant artist.

Do you know Root? They are one of the precursors of black metal from Czech Republic. Very rarely mentioned and overlooked band - kind of similar to early Celtic Frost and Hellhammer. Raw as fuck.

Cool video. I especially liked the guitar solo near the end. I haven't heard of Root before. Thanks for posting it. I'm glad you mentioned Celtic Frost and Hellhammer - those are a couple of my favorites, too. I also like Tom Warrior's (relatively) new band, Triptykon.

One of my personal favorite songs,,, :waa:

Locked in a still position
Swaying back and forth
Needles in my arms
Broken inside

My chest rips open
And blood runs on the floor
Sealing my heart
Gazing at a wall

In some dark corner
Somewhere in time
Try to make sense
Relation unknown

Alone, alone, alone
In pain, and pain, in pain

BAND: Nyctalgia (not the german band Nyktalgia).
TRACK: "Time Changed Everything"
GENRE: Instrumental / Shoegaze / Ambient (this track is mostly made of piano music).

A one-man project... only 1 demo published to this date...
