loving parents, and to have not had an abusive childhood?

If so, why?

I hope the answer isn't 'because most people haven't been abused and have had parents who love them'

Not one single child on Earth "deserves" to be brought up by abusive parents so yes, this question is stupid.

That doesn't make sense. I am what I am partly because of my abusive mother. I have no idea what my personality would be like if I had been brought up by two good parents instead. I would be a different person, maybe a spoiled brat who would then deserve to have abusive parents to put him in his place. It's a recursive/cyclic/paradoxical dilemma.

However, the "do you deserve to have someone" does make sense because it doesn't imply a causality paradox.

I was brought up by loving parents, but it didn't stop me from having a crappy childhood.

There's a difference between abusive and strict parents. If a child became a brat, the problem lies surely in the education s/he was given (or not), but being abusive, morally or in action, never "straightened" any kid out.

Okay, then the spoiled brat deserves merely strict parents, and the little thief deserves the abusive ones.

I hope you're kidding. I've been raised by abusive parents, the kind of crazy people who should have ended up in jail, and it didn't make me "bitch", just a broken person, unable to really bond with people I'd like to be close to.

Finally someone sees the truth. All women are evil bitches. It was the worst mistake in the history of mankind to give them any kind of freedom. They need to be kept safely in cages, so that we can buy them at the market.

Well, I won't go as far as you did about women's behaviors cause some of them are actually pretty nice,
not many but some, but they _NEVER_ should have been allowed to vote, in the USA.

The very FIRST thing we got for it, in 1920 , was the 13 year ban on alcohol, called
"Prohibition", here in the states.

Oh yeah, then they spent us all into a horrible Great Depression, nine years later.

Gotta love all those "Women's Rights".........................WRONG!!!

I was talking to someone who just proposed that women should be abused by their parents because they deserve it. One of the most absurd and hateful remarks I've seen on this forum.

Now I don't agree with you on the subject of female voting rights, but at least that is a topic that we could have a serious debate about.

If you think that was bad you should look at some of the older posts...ive been here a while and that was one of my more tame rants against women. i stand by it too.

This makes me curious. Apparently it is perfectly acceptable in this forum to state you wish all women to have abusive parents.. That is quite a horrible fate to wish to anyone. Are there any limits to the tolerance for hatred at all here? Suppose some user here would say he wished all women to be raped and murdered, would that also be ok? Is it possible to go too far (without making a direct personal attack)?

most likely. it's being considered, and some action will be taken against this sort of abuse. It's pretty clear at this point that many people just aren't mature enough to handle complete open freedom of expression without being retarded dumbasses - admin

Another thing I'm curious about is this. SociallyInept, how would you respond if someone would say all men rightfully deserve to be abused by their parents in their youth?

I can't speak for SI but I'd brush it off as a ridiculous, bigoted comment and think nothing of it but feel sorry for the person who made it. Which is precisely my reaction to SI's post. Parts of this thread will likely be moved into the thunderdome since it's clear where it's going - admin
