Not 100% pleased with this shot. I was using rather a crap plastic starburst filter, and it was an 8 pointer, so there is a lot of 'noise' in the shot. Also had to remove the overall colour cast in Photoscape. But it's passable :D

You quite often get noise in night shots, it's tricky to eradicate. What ISO did you set your camera to?

By 'noise' I was refering to the interference pattersn from all of the light sources. ISO was about 400 I think. This is a view from about a minute away from my house. I live very high up, well over 850 feet!

I know it can cause the shutter speeds to go absurdly long, but try using an ISO of 100 (or however low your camera can go), you will get a lot less noise.
