It was probably one of the most realistic (and best) dreams I've ever had and gave an example of how it could happen.

So, this girl was supposed to be a girl from work whom I have never spoken to. But like in many dreams she didn't look exactly like her. Anyway, she had gorgeous tangled red hair and was struggling to brush it. I sat down near her and she asked if I could help and she gave me the hair brush. I proceeded to brush and while I was doing so we moved closer together until our heads were inches apart. Slowly, we moved together, neither really initiating, and kissed. A simple lip against lip kiss. I can still feel her lips on mine. It was good. Unfortunately, that's when the dream ended.

It's really annoying that I get more action in my dreams than I do in real life. :banghead:

Depressing thing is, often even in my dreams I get rejected! Don't know whether to  or

I often have a dream about taking a bath with my oneitis. No sex, just kissing and cuddling.

i had a dream just last night where i was just in the same bed with a former oneitis i've been thinking about lately. No sex or anything but the underlying tone was that she didnt want me there but was putting up with it. :| I seem to remember doing some sort of work that i needed to be in that bed for so she put up with it...

With some of these dreams, I'm unable to tell whether they're supposed to be pleasant or unpleasant. Most of these are better than my dreams, though. All I get are night terrors. -_-;

Only ever managed it once. That was at the tail end of a nightmare about the world being overrun by spiders. I forced myself awake by telling myself it was only a dream. I've never actually managed to go to sleep with the intention of lucid dreaming. I've heard it can be done, but I've never succeeded.

I once had a dream where I was in a car with this really pretty girl from my school that I was hung out with that night. She put her hand on mine. Then we both looked at each other. I went to hug her. At that very instant I woke up, but my arms went out and hugged the air. I realized I was dreaming.

In another one, there was this murderer on the loose. He was going to kill my oneitis. So I went up to him, and I begged him, "Stop! Please don't kill her!" He then said to me, laughing, "You love her so much that you'll risk your life to save her but she'll never requite your love! How pathetic!" He then shot me in the leg. As I was on the ground, I saw her running away with her boyfriend, holding hands. He then put the barrel to the back of my head. And then nothing. Needless to say, I haven't felt that happy in a dream in a long time.

Yeah, learning to recognize and control your dreams is an excellent counter to recurrent nightmares and night terrors. You do need to train yourself for a good while, though.

I did a lot of lucid dreaming practice a few years ago. At the end, all I could do was to fly and go through walls. If I attempted anything more complicated or realistic (like talking or creating things), I would wake up. A friend of mine says he could use lucid dreaming to "summon" historical figures and talk to them.

My goal was to have a controlled "dream girlfriend". :(

You'd have to be really good at it to never wake up. If you become too conscious, you wake up. If you get too tired, you wake up or lose lucidity.

With insomnia, nothing's real. Everything's far away. Everything's a copy of a copy of a copy.

the sky turns on the lights
nothing will be as before any more,
it dawned again...

I arise by the light, i open my eyes, dead for a while
lost for a while
it dawned again...

and you have been lost with the sleep, with the dream's colourful swan,
don't dawn sky

empty is my soul, my room is empty and i hear from my dream her fair sob telling
"it was a dream... it was dream"

you will come again when it gets dark
and the dream will save the truth again
i will be near you

only there i see you my dear
you approach there and you touch my soul
with your wings

but in the morning you disappear, you leave, i open my eyes and you die immediately...
don't dawn sky

empty my soul....

I used to lucid dream quite frequently. I don't much any more but then I don't dream much any more either. One trick I learned to prolong a lucid dream is when you notice the dream beginning to fade, spin around in a circle and take in all of the scenery and pay attention to the detail. Really get a fix on the fine detail. It will sometimes make the dream continue on more vivid than ever....

Oh yeah, I've read that one before, but I can never remember these tips when I need them! :P Same with reality checks.
