This describes my life perfectly, as well. Head in the clouds, dreamer, lives in fantasy land, aloof, sexless.

Same... except for the period of time when I wasn't sexless. I never stopped being a dreamer or a so-called man-child.

Which just goes to prove Pleiades' words in my signature are spot on.

I don't think my family or aquaintances even equate the word 'sexual being' with me.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but when you had a relationship, loveablenerd, did it generally improve your happiness? I have been guilty of thinking that a relationship is like a catch all solution to depression. I now know that you can't expect another person to be entirely responsible for your happiness. But I'd like to think a relationship would at least make me happier. Gilmartin seems to think so.

Being in a sexual relationship with a girl is not the apple of the eye for most people. But you are loveobsessed, not love shy. Sex doesnt heal a shit. GF is nothing but a male friend in disguise. Love yourself, that should do the trick.

I think you have just described the bulk of everyone on this forum with those few vague descriptions. We are seen as asexual because we have never been seen with a partner of any kind. We’re daydreamers because... well how many people here are happy with their lives? Fuck, if I don’t drift off into fantasy land every few minutes I’d have probably killed myself by now.

As for being in a relationship being a quick sure-fire cure shortcut to happiness...Well speaking as an intelligent man, I got to say no. However speaking as Love Shy, it currently stands as my only hope in the monochrome boring life that I now find myself encased in.

Yeah, I understand. But youve gotta deal with it. Now, the reality gives us the apparent Hobson's choice of being Love- Shy. Lets just assume that we are. So what? Its the most obvious choice: to be a bitter Love- Shy or a happy Love- Shy. You'd like to pick the bitter Love- Shy. Why? Why on earth. Pick million dollars or one dollar. I'd pick the million dollars. Own up your part of this deal because its huge. Ive been cured from Love- Shy: I think I am too weird so Ive just given up. Ive got fantastic friends and I am now a "happy Love- Shy". Come on and join me.
