The thing here is simple... write down any phrase you think is related (directly or indirectly) with love-shyness, the next user who post next will try to write what we can learn from the text and then the next one will do the same, and so on... Of course, the first user must write what they learned from the story I put here...

well, here we go...

A man remained single all his life because he was searching for the prefect woman. When he was 60, a friend asked to him:
- You've been traveling and traveling and never stopped searching? Can not find the perfect woman? Not even one?
- Yes, I found one perfect woman - replied the man, sadly.
- But... what happened? why did not you marry?
- What could I do? She was looking for the perfect man ...

She was of course lying - she had plenty of boyfriends throughout her life and is married with four children. She lied to get rid of the creepy bloke hassling her"

"I DON'T WANT TO BELONG TO ANY CLUB THAT WILL ACCEPT PEOPLE LIKE ME AS A MEMBER" - Part of a telegram from Groucho Marx (upper case coz telegrams were uppercase in those days)

I think in this context, whether the story is realistic or not, the point is that you shouldn't expect what you don't offer yourself. He wanted a perfect woman, but the perfect woman wanted a perfect man, which he wasn't. So it made his original desire for a perfect woman somewhat hypocritical.
