Woman Dies After Being Dragged From Hospital

Posted on March 26, 2012

Image

Anna Brown, 29, died on the floor of a jail cell within an hour of being dragged from St. Mary’s Hospital. As blood clots spread from her legs to her lungs the hospital staff was busy refusing her further treatment. She was arrested because she refused to leave, she said she was in to much pain to stand. So she was carried to a squad car and driven to the Richmond Heights Police Department where officers carried her into a cell and laid her on the floor. She was found dead only minutes later.

Originally visiting the hospital due to a sprained ankle, she was unaware that the real problem was that her sprained ankle had caused blood clots. A doctor at St. Mary’s told police that she was okay to go, unwilling to properly treat the woman. At 7:33 in the video below, you can hear an officer in the cell after she died say, “we thought she was drug sick” but the autopsy revealed that she had not taken any drugs.

Government run health care will only increase incidents like this. Free health care in the Army operates like that. You seriously have to go three times, being told that your faking or just want to get out of something, and then get rushed to the emergency room because they don't believe you.

Then why dont we hear about this happening over in Canada?

Believe me, if anyone would have heard about this in Canukland, its me.

I have to pay for my own healthcare so I am on top of this stuff all the time.

I'm just saying that is how our government works. And those are the stories Canada probably doesn't want to share. Notice at all how most people in gov run health countries all have bad teeth. I venture to reason a minimalist level health is reluctantly doled out and one has to seriously inconvenience themselves wrangling with a bunch of bureaucratic idiots who act like they can't understand the own words when you repeat them back to them in order to get anything done. That's how everything military works. Its so problematic most people just give up and that's what they are hoping for.

I wouldnt say that Canuks mostly have bad teeth, at least not the ones I have
seen down in the lower 48 states.

In fact, I have seen plenty of Americans with rotten, and missing teeth. Then
again, I dont think Canada pays for dentistry, and niether will Obabmacare.

BTW, many of them seem to have lots of money for tatooes, but no $$$
for tooth repair? The world truly has gone mad.

that's exactly how it's like here. the NHS slogan may as well be "beggars can't be choosers"

About the article, I bet she was removed because of all the extra attention to emergency room waste and determined not to fall prey someone was overeager to tell someone to leave. People seem to be trigger happy about calling cops on poor folks doing nothing illegal.

I had bad teeth, or jaws rather. Went to the dentist every 6 months like a good little child and he ignored my obvious problems. But I've been able to get surgery and orthodontic care now that regular insurance is even now trying to remove from coverage. I fell under the medical necessary category but its scary to think that the choice of having your less popular (common) health problems left untreated because they are deemed by the government as not worth its time or it doesn't care. At least with private care you have the choice to pick providers that will out of ones who won't take care of your specific needs.

I can only afford an HMO in my area, so my choice of doctors is limited. And they already put off
anything that they can as it is, so I can't see how it will be worse with Obamacare, assuming that
its constitutional, which it isn't. In fact, I will be able to go back to PPO, and have a better choice.

As for dental insurance, most plans I have seen are horrible and you are limited to the worst dentists
they can find, so I havent had any D-I in years, and pay out of pocket and it's done right the first time.

You call that guy a doctor working in a government run military health faculty where he can operate on people without anesthesia and fuck up royally with no fear of anything bad happening to him. Happened to a friend.
