One of my painted figures. I'm running Heroquest this weekend at the Middle Earth Weekend. Whaddya think? I sed a variety of acrylic paints and ink washes, and he is about 28mm scale (roughly). This is a Fmir, a Chaos monster.

Pretty darn good Ceno. I used to paint WH40k and Space Marine Epic many many moons ago. My younger brother dabbled in the same, and his painting skills were a magnitude better than mine. He has since stopped, but I wonder if I can find some of his photography.

I repositioned the weapon arm slightly. My brother's work is so damned good he gets paid for it.

Nice detail work on the armor. I always wanted to try W40K, but I dunno if I'd have the time or the money to do it justice.


Yeah I heard of stuff like that. Custom armies and pieces selling for hundreds, shit's crazy.

Hehe that's what he did too, after deciding to finish with the hobby.

The last one is the old style design of chapter master from the 90s (all metal, it was my model), but he repainted it.

Edit: Also, on the Rhino, the chapter icon on the top of it is hand painted I think, it's not a transfer, if my memory serves.

Back when I was really into the hobby, that's how I would go from one project to the next:

• build army A
• play army A while building army B
• finish army B, sell army A
• use proceeds from sale of A to buy army C
• play army B while building army C
• etc

I went through a TON of stuff over the years.

Oh, and cool Fimir! Haven't seen Heroquest stuff in ages!
