Like the other poster on his success story said, sorry if this bothers you, but I thought I might as well post it. I used to post here over a year ago and it was just making me more and more miserable, so I decided to quit.

Well anyway, today (I'm not 25 years old) I officially have a girlfriend. We've been hanging out together and kissing etc for about 3 weeks, but I asked her today if she considers me her boyfriend and she said yes.

Just to let you guys know, personally, I think hanging around and talking to other Love Shy people makes it worse, which is why I quit coming to this forum because I was more miserable after reading the posts here. What I actually did was joiin the gym in late 2008 and trained my arse off, and don't wanna sound big headed, but I'd say I look fairly good now.

One thing to note to Love Shies, we haven't had sex as I don't intend to do that outside of marriage, but we've done other "stuff", well, there was just the one time anyway, and I can tell you now for 100% fact, sexual pleasure means F**K ALL if you're a real love-shy like I was (probably still am, just lucky my girlfriend has made it so easy for me), the real feeling of extasy is having someone smile and you and kiss you, knowing that you have someone like that, that cares about you!

I'd say, if you wanna help yourself, quit this place, well, it worked for me anyway!

Yep, laying in bed with someone holding them tight, kissing them, and just generally being that intimate is worth a million shags.

As for quitting the forum, I've got to disagree with you on that one. I don't think going on the forum helps or hinders with the fight against LS. However, it's the only place in the world where posters (myself included) can say what's going on in their head to people who even slightly understand what it's like. Keeping those thoughts locked up inside our heads will do nothing for our mental wellbeing. Provided you are mentally strong enough to read the forum and remain positive and motivated to fight your LS, I don't see what damage it can do.

Well, yeah, I'd disagree with you that this forum is detrimental. I started training because of advice from the likes of Ethnocide, NewHope, and epicbleedinfailure. And it looks like they were right again about getting fit and getting a girlfriend. So, congratulations. Maybe this will happen to others who follow that advice.

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you on your success, and I hope that everything works out for both you and your girlfriend.

However, I must respectfully disagree about your comment about quitting this place, and that posting here is detrimental to a man who wants to cure himself of his LS/Incel. I agree that spending too much time here and not doing anything to improve yourself, will not improve your situation, and in that respect I am probably the worst offender.

My point is that a LS/Incel man can improve himself (like you have), and still post here.

Well if you think that "we make things worse." well welcome to the Internet. I think if you met some of us in real life it would be a lot different from what you think. People may sound miserable, but if you know who they actually are then you would change your mind. I am sure of that.

But don't give us the false statement that quiting the forum will magically get a girlfriend because it won't. The difference when you "quit" you did something for your own self and that is good. This forum does not prevent someone from doing something. It is like people saying "don't go to therapy, they think you are a lunatic and put you in an insane asylum!" well guess what? I went to therapy anyways and I am not in an insane asylum. You do actions based on what you feel is right. You only come here to get a little advice and see if it works for you or not. Nobody really knows each other here, so they don't know how you actually feel.
